Job Role & Who Can Apply
As a Medical Coder, you will review doctors’ notes, patient medical records, diagnostic reports, and treatment details. And then assign the correct ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on standard medical coding guidelines. These codes are used by hospitals and insurance companies for billing, insurance claims, and maintaining accurate patient records.
This role is meant for experienced and certified Medical Coders who have at least 1 year of hands-on coding experience in any medical specialty. Candidates should have a good understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding standards. Along with that candidates should have ability to maintain high coding accuracy and productivity.
