Fortis Hospitals is hiring for the position of Senior Resident General Surgery post, for its Bangalore Bannerghatta Road branch. Candidates who have completed their MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognised institution can attend this walk-in interview at the below mentioned venue, from 2nd July – 15th July. The above post is open for freshers and experienced candidates up to 2 years of experience, with a package of 12-14 Lacs PA.

This is a full-time opportunity for medical professionals looking to work in a leading multi-specialty hospital. The role involves handling surgical cases, providing patient care, assisting in emergency procedures, and working closely with consultants and other healthcare teams.

Job Summary

Major Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with general surgical conditions. The role includes assisting in and performing surgical procedures based on experience, managing pre-operative and post-operative care, attending emergency and trauma cases, and monitoring patient recovery through regular ward rounds.

The position also involves maintaining medical records, coordinating with consultants and nursing teams, following hospital safety protocols, guiding junior medical staff, and participating in clinical and academic activities whenever required.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for this role should:

• Hold an MS or DNB in General Surgery from a recognized institution.
• Have around 3 years of experience as a Senior Resident or Registrar in General Surgery.
• Possess a valid Karnataka Medical Council (KMC) registration.
• Have good knowledge of elective and emergency surgical procedures.
• Be willing to work rotational shifts, night duties, and emergency calls.
• Possess good communication, teamwork, and patient management skills.
• Immediate joiners will be given preference.
